Buhari Commends Gov. Matawalle For Visiting Aso Rock With Gold And Other Precious Stones

President Muhammadu Buhari has praised the efforts of Zamfara State Governor, Matawalle after he visited the presidential villa with some gold and other precious stones which was mined from the state.
Buhari made this known in a tweet via his verified Twitter page, where he said that Gov. Matawalle of Zamfara visited him at the villa some days ago to present gold and other precious stones from the state.
The president said that the federal government would be happy to see other states in the country develop its potential to the fullest.
He added that his administration will ensure that it continues to provide direction and support to this effect.
Buhari tweeted;
“Gov. Matawalle of Zamfara visited some days ago to present gold and other precious stones from the State.“The Federal Government would like to see every State in Nigeria develop its potentials to the fullest, and will continue to provide policy direction & support to this effect.”
This burgeoning news platform recalls that the president had earlier said that gold mining has the ability to produce a revenue of $500 million annually, thereby creating jobs for 250,000 people in the country.
A move that would hasten the diversification of the economy and reduce unemployment among the youth populace.
Gold is seen as the most valuable resource in Nigeria apart from oil and gas.
